Karla Martínez (La Habana, Cuba – 1988)

Karla Martinez obtained the Gold Diploma in her Bachelor´s studies at the
Instituto Superior de Arte (University of Arts), Cuba. Master’s Degree in Music
Performance at the Reina Sofia School in Madrid with the prestigious
professors Dimitri Bashkirov and Denis Lossev and Postgraduate degree at
Liceu de Barcelona with Tensy Krismant.
As part of the “Danzi Group”, she received from Her Majesty Queen
Sofía the recognition as the most outstanding student in the chamber music
department. Winner of the competition María Clara Cullell in Costa Rica, Piano
Competition Juventudes Musicales de Vilafranca del Penedés, and Piano Cicle
de Primavera in Barcelona. Also awarded in the piano competition Amadeo
Roldán y Musicalia de Cuba, L’Arjau and UNEAC…
